Craig Public Health Center offering flu shots

Flu vaccinations will be offered at the Craig Public Heath Center clinic at the Craig High School Commons from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18. It will be a drop-in clinic and there is no charge for the vaccine.

According to a news release, donations are welcome to help offset the costs. Healthy people from age 2 to 49 can get FluMist, a nasal mist. It is easy, fast and very effective, according to the release. Others can get the injection.

"Flu season is clearly upon us and vaccinating yourself and your children is the best way to prevent serious illness," the release stated. "Everyone from 6 months of age and older should be vaccinated every year against influenza."
